Match ReportSaul U-12 boys had an enthralling away match at Loughinisland on Sunday with the score see-sawing throughout the entire game. Saul held a slender one point lead at half-time with two points from Caolan Magee and single points from Mark McGrady, Rory Fitzsimons, Conor Hazard and Timmy Hayes. Although Mark McGrady added an early point, Loughinisland pulled away in the second half with two goals and a few points to leave Saul with an uphill task. However, the whole team dug deep and started to test the Loughinisland defence. Mark McGrady pulled a goal back and Conor Hazard bagged two superb goals to leave the scores level. Loughinisland responded well and scored two unanswered points to claim victory. The man of the match award goes to Conor Hazard who scored two goals and a point at crucial times in the game and created a lot of space in attack. The final score was Loughinisland 2-12 -v- Saul 3-7. This was a great team effort with everyone playing their part. Training continues on Thursday (6.15 - 7.30pm). There may be no match next Sunday due to Down Seniors playing Tyrone in the Championship, however this will be confirmed at training.
