Match Report

The under 14s made the long journey to St. Paul's for a sporting encounter against the Holywood men.St.Paul's seem to be following the lead of other fast developing North Down clubs-Bredagh,Carryduff and Darragh Cross,by putting alot of work into underage.Yet again, this year our under 14s have had to cope with opponents who are much bigger physically, and they did not shirk from the task. They had their fair share of possession ,but couldn't convert this to the scoreboard, despite the best efforts of Conor Marron, and John Hampton. At the other end, keeper James Murray made a host of saves,as Daniel Eastwood threatened to run riot for the hosts.Skipper Cillian Gallagher's performance in midfield against Holywood danger man McCreedy, was superb.

In defence corner men Byrne and Rice had excellent games, and Conor Campbell did well in an unaccustomed full back role. The lads continue to learn alot from this year, with a particularly young side, and if they stick together better times lie ahead.
