Match Report

The under 14 boys team travelled to Carryduff on Thursday night and it proved good preparation for the championship which is likely to go ahead next Thursday.

St.Patrick's started the game on the back foot and were 5 points behind before they realised they had the beatings of "The Duff". Conor Campbell had other ideas however as he rattled the net with a cracking shot as Tony Molyneaux started to forage deeper for possesion bringing our lads back in to the game.

Cillian Gallagher was now seeing more of the ball as he ran at Carryduff. In defense Sam McKee and especially Mikey Rice were playing out of their skins, while John Hampton and Sam Burns dominated the half back line. As the game went on Cathal Sloan and Ciaran McGrady got through some great work, as Ciarán Harney and Conor Marron combined very effectively for a number of quality scores. This was a real team effort and all 18 players contributed to the victory.
