Game switched from Sunday to Monday evening and the reserves are still to get off the mark against a Drumaness side that took their chances. This game could have been a lot tighter finish if a Saul goal wasn't disallowed in the 2nd half and for the 2nd week in a row in a game between the 2 teams, the use of the head by the home team went unpunished - these incidents must be stamped out in our games if the future for club football in Down is to brighten and kids feel encouraged to take up the games.

With the senor game moved to Sunday and the fixture switch to Monday a very young and inexperienced reserve side travelled to Drumaness. Although they battled hard the more experienced Drumaness side eased out comfortable winners. Good performances from Paul Ferris, Sean Laverty, Conor Shields, Matthew Carson, Chris Fitzsimons, Colly Craig, Owen McCavera. If anything the overall team performance showed that there is plenty of talent ready to come through the Saul ranks.
