Blue & Gold Triple Success in East Down Scor-na-nog

Sunday night was Scor night again to a packed house at Aquinas Hall in Dundrum hosting the East Down Scor-na-nog Finals. Saul were well represented and had excellent performances from Roisin Sloan (Solo Singing), Cristina Holland, Sarah McVeigh, Paul Riordan, Brian Riordan and Michael McMullan (Instrumental Music) and Grainne Laverty, Claudia Leung-Soon, Nicole Leung-Soon, Sarah McVeigh and Cristina Holland (Ballad Group). At the end of a high standard competition in all categories, all 3 Saul entries progressed to the County Final with East Down titles in the Instrumental and Ballad Group sections and Runners up in Solo Singin. The other titles on the night went to Carryduff (Ceili Dancing, Recitation and Novelty Act), St Johns (Set Dancing) and Loughinisland (Question Time) - congratulations to all. Also well done to Saul's Gareth McGreevy who did a great job as 'Fear a ti' on Sunday night. The County Scor na nog Final will take place on Sunday week (Nov 26th) at 6pm in St Malachy's High School, Castlewellan.
